A graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry in 2002, Dr. Llanes began his academic journey with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1995. His early career included groundbreaking research at Rush University Hospital under the guidance of Dr. Judith Lubosky, PhD, in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, where he explored the immune system’s role in premature menopause and unexplained infertility. His contributions to the field have been recognized through several publications in esteemed medical journals.
After earning his dental degree, Dr. Llanes dedicated himself to mastering various aspects of dental science. He pursued advanced education and training in orthodontics, oral surgery, dental implants, and cosmetic dentistry. In 2012, he completed the Orthodontic Education Continuum and also became a certified Invisalign provider. His commitment to continuing education underscores his dedication to providing the most advanced and effective treatments to his patients.

Seju Patel, DDS
Dr. Seju Patel grew up right here in Elk Grove Village and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2021. After graduation, she began her career at a corporate dental office, gaining valuable experience in providing high-quality care. Dr. Patel has been part of the Modern Essence team since 2022, returning to the very practice where she first worked as a dental assistant.
Dr. Patel’s passion for dentistry was inspired by the dentists in her family, who instilled in her a deep commitment to compassionate care and skillful treatment. Committed to advancing her clinical expertise, she has completed advanced training in dental implant surgery and is an active member of the International Dental Implant Association. Her focus is on providing exceptional care while educating her patients about their oral health and overall well-being. She takes the time to address each patient's unique concerns and goals, ensuring a comfortable, anxiety-free experience.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with her family and friends, unwinding with a good Netflix show, and traveling to new places.
